- Independent living: You take care of your own apartment or residence but don’t have to worry about heavy housekeeping, yard work or maintenance. While you may prepare your own meals, you can also take advantage of centralized dining facilities. You also typically have access to amenities such as a fitness center or on-site retail shopping and services.
- Assisted living: If you need help with some routine everyday tasks—for instance, preparing meals, bathing, dressing, managing medications, or out-of-home activities such as shopping and transportation—White Sands La Jolla’s trained staff can provide this extra level of support.
- Skilled nursing: For residents with health issues that require ongoing attention, White Sands La Jolla offers dedicated, 24-hour skilled nursing for short-term, long-term, respite and hospice care. We also provide convalescent and rehabilitation services for people getting back into gear after surgery or treatment at outside healthcare facilities.
- Memory care: The Atrium is our innovative care facility for White Sands residents coping with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Canaries and finches flutter in the treetops under a panoramic glass ceiling while residents enjoy nutritious meals and interact with our specially trained staff. A recipient of the coveted Eden certification for memory care facilities, The Atrium excels at helping residents retain cognitive skills and provides the kind of personal care that preserves dignity and a strong sense of self. Loved ones may forget what we say and do, but they never forget how we make them feel.
